Hi guys!

Right, so I'm starting this job next week (I'm the builder as you know!) so I need to run by you the method I was planning on.

So its a wetroom. 1m x 4m approx. tiled floor, tiled shower area. Pretty much all components (sink, toilet, etc) will all be 'floating' so a clean floor. electric UFH, linear drain, wetroom former(?) or tapered marmoxboard(?)

This was my plan:
1. 18mm ply BETWEEN joists on battens (to keep height down)
2. 12mm Marmox board (for insulation. send heat up to tiles)
3. UFH matt
4. latex high build levelling compound over the heating matt
5. tanking paste (2 coats) with taped corners.
6. tile floors and walls

Questions.
Do I need a de-coupling membrane thingy in between tanking and latex compound?
The idea of the latex levelling compound was to give a flat surface for the tanking. Any issues with doing this?
Can you guys recommend a good heating Matt?
And just generally, what is my construction method like?

Adam
