Having a bit of a nightmare here.

I fitted 12.5mm wedi thin bed cement mortar over ply covered stud walls. Taped all joins etc. Tiled. Grouted but the grout I used scratched the surface of my tiles.

I've removed the tiles, the wedi obviously got damaged so I've removed that which was all fun.

I'm dealing with the two end walls of my bath. The long middle wall is OK as I hadn't grouted that yet.

I've left a couple of inches of the old wedi board above the bath and in each of the corners.

Planning to clean up the ply then start again with wedi board.

Can I stick the wedi using the polymer https://www.tilersforums.com/forums/tile-adhesive/ and screws instead of a thin bed mortar and screws this time? In see wedi advise this for directly fixing to stud. I did a small section behind the basin and this seems fine.
