Victorian Style Path - Tile Advice

Hi I am hopefully moving this year and I would really like to tile the path leading to my home or a porch area.....I have never tackled any Victorian style tiling before so feel it's a great chance to try it on my own front yard...something like this...I can see it's all in the prep. Are there any main pointers for me to watch out for on something like this?....I have done loads and loads of bathrooms kitchens conservatory's. But never this style or even outside
