One Day

I just realised this today, so apologies if it's a bit of "stupid" on my part.

When coming back to a row of tiles from the previous day, where the customer / builder etc has kindly kicked out and broken all the clips you left carefully in place for continuing tomorrow's work, I found that my multitool with carbide bit is perfect for cutting a fresh slot in the adhesive bed under the tile so you can slot in a fresh clip wherever needed.

I wish I'd figured that one out ages ago!

Saw a YT video doing this a couple of months back. Well worth mentioning. Not done it myself.

Never seen that one before tbh, I’ve just been using a concave blade in a Stanley knife which so far has done the trick with ease for me.

Have found it easy enough to prise out the clip base and insert a new one, l find a scraper with the help of a hammer at times does the trick.

I’ve tried various methods for clipping tiles the next day, and the most successful I find is putting off cuts in at the end of the day.
It also appears to eliminate those tiny bubbles of adhesive that appear overnight either side of the clip which prevent the new piece butting up correctly the next day.
