I've got a job to price up which the customer would like me to tile directly on to the existing floor, which is Kardean. My instincts say that I need to remove the Karndean and as much of the glue as possible. Slurry prime and then tile.

Has anybody tiled directly on to Karndean and if so, how did you do it?

If the the Karndean is firmly stuck down and there is no deflection you could de-grease, gritty prime and either a good S1 or S2. We at Tilemaster recommend this system when used with our adhesives and primers please check if using another manufactures products.
