I have laid s limestone floor and have ended up with residue from the grout. The floor was sealed before grouting but obviously didn’t do it’s job! What should I use to strip it right back and start again? I used LTP Mattestone seal 2 before grouting and then again after grouting. Obviously the smears go when the floor is damp and then come back when dry. To remove sealer I have tried LTP clean 1 cement and grout? I think it needs something more aggressive? Any advice most welcome.

What finish is your limestone. If it is honed and grout haze is light a fine wet and dry paper works well .
Be very carefull about putting acid based products on your floor as these will probably wreck it .

Not sure what the finish is but the stone is not 100% smooth.

Hi Jcr, firstly thank you for responding. I have found out the floor is etched? Can I still use wet and dry? Many thanks

Time's Ran Out

Without knowing the type of limestone used it’s difficult to advise.
Some are so porous you have to seal them as you get them out of the crate, even dirty hands can stain them.
Did you fix them, clean them, seal them, grout them?

If it's etched it would want to be refinished which if you have a textured finish may not be possible . Maybe a picture showing the finish might help .
What is the description of what you purchased
