Setting out tiles - Tile Advice

Hi all,
Due to money constraints I am having to renovate the bathroom myself.
I am trying my best to set out the tiles before starting to avoid slithers.
I'm using metro 20×10 tiles and 2mm gap.
But no matter which way I try I end up with either a cm gap at the ceiling or a slither under the window cill.
Its difficult due to the window.
Is there any advice that might help me get started please?

You have room to build cill height up to aid datums.

Hi Dave,
Yes if I use the bath level to start I can get two tiles perfectly under cill and use the window center to get same cuts on either end.
If I raise the cill it will fix my issue yes.
But then I'll create a slither under the cill sadly

By raising the cill height ( plasterboard it ) then you won’t have as small a slither.

OK I see what your saying. I've some cement board left over.
I'll measure up and hopefully that would solve it
