Well i expect it's got to go somewhere ! ,and thats a long way from the midlands /south !, where the main population is !, OK GUYS if it has to go somewhere where ? would you put it' ?

What I can never understand is wh this sort of waste is not burried in uprise made pits near to the source. These areas are already contaminated so it would presumably have less impact on the local areas that way.

Yup, as long as its under where all the scroats , bagheads and dealers are, ive no problem at all with that :) :)

As Al said, I'd keep the waste near the source. It would have already been approved for handling such materials and therefore makes sense to keep it there. They'd perhaps think more about how much is being produced if they had to manage the storage of it long-term rather than just pay a firm to sort it out and see it as a minor regular cost.
