6mm https://www.tilersforums.com/forums/tile-adhesive/ bed is a lot. You'll want a 2/3mm solid bedOn the wall I removed the tiles from this is the wall where the 3.5mm slabs are going. However, there will be a difference in depth between the old tiles and the slabs.
The total depth of the existing wall tiles is about 30mm this is tiles, https://www.tilersforums.com/forums/tile-adhesive/ and boarding. Now my new depth with will be 12.5mm plus 3.5mm plus about 6mm https://www.tilersforums.com/forums/tile-adhesive/?? This adds up to roughly 22mm I am 8mm short.
To compensate for this difference in depth can I put some plastic packets behind the wedi board to gain the extra 8mm?
