Please checkout the following advertisement.
My staircase is all finished in oak and was just wondering for finishing around the bottom step and other bits would you typically undercut the step which is a big solid lump of oak or cut the tile to match in and grout to the stairs.

Thanks in advance

I agree with Dave, do your best not to get any tile https://www.tilersforums.com/forums/tile-adhesive/ on the oak as it can stain. Also worth checking the silicone on an off cut to check that doesn't stain the oak as well.

Thanks Jon, when laying them im going to mask up the base of the oak and then trim it off after https://www.tilersforums.com/forums/tile-adhesive/ is set. Not sure what you mean by on and off cut...

Jon means on off cut of the oak incase it bleeds into the oak and stains, use an acetate free silicone and it should be fine. I haven’t had one stain yet.
