Been using Topps flexi rapid set for my floor tile, however just recently had a few problems with tiles lifting.
Floors are timber, overplyed (with trillions of screws) and primed with Bal acrylic primer.
Someone told me it was manufactured by granfix.
Has anyone had issues with Topps https://www.tilersforums.com/forums/tile-adhesive/. When I asked Topps, they of course said "no, not aware of anyone else having problems"

It's made by Palace. I have had problems with the rapid set taking ages to cure but, never with it not sticking. It is probably 3 years since I last used it though. What tiles have you used? Has the https://www.tilersforums.com/forums/tile-adhesive/ debonded from the tile or the floor?

I had a couple bags last week that took ages to cure. Palace are the manufacturers. It was the only day I needed to get the floor laid and grouted in a day !! Fuming !!! never had any issues with it lifting, to be fair, it sticks very well and ive never had a failure with it.

Funny that. I've just had to redo a shower tray. The https://www.tilersforums.com/forums/tile-adhesive/ stuck to the ply but not to the tray- it just lifted straight away the next day.
I noticed that some of it had not set.
I tried again once everything was cleaned up. Sanded and scored the underside of the tray and then used SBR. It seems to be okay this time.
I purposely mixed too much to see what was happening, and sure enough it was still not fully set the next day- Saturday. I checked this morning and it had finally set.

That may be the answer. There's me telling customer ok to walk on when not fully cured. In addition there may be too much flex in floor!! May have to look at alternative product. Any suggestions without going over the top on price. Topps https://www.tilersforums.com/forums/tile-adhesive/ is very competitive

I wonder if they have had a batch miss bagged? I have had Topps tiles 2 part a couple of times where it said grey on the bucket.......but it was white inside.

Used a lot of toppfix/palace stuff before, and never had a problem. Although there "Slow Set" is very slow drying.

I stopped using it over a year ago because more than one batch of the Topps rapid set was slow set! I've never had any problems with the Palace adhesives sticking and generally being good value for money but, if they are forgetting to put the accelerant into the mix what else might they be forgetting. I did report it back to the store at the time so they should have been aware of the problem a long time ago.

I have used palace products but it was some years ago. Wouldn't chose it as a matter of course, there are much better products out there. Don't skimp on https://www.tilersforums.com/forums/tile-adhesive/ costs it pays in the long run!

I used to use it also, never had any issues with it to be fair. I stopped as my local supplier started doing ultra cheaper, which is a far better adhesive.
