Hi All

I am performing a repair job in the bath tub and took off a few tiles.

The previous builder tiled straight onto the old tiles without taking them off. I thought they would fall off but it's been 9 years and they have held on. Anyway, I have removed most of any remaining tile adhesive but the wall has areas that might be protuding 2-3mm. What tools can i use to flatten out any problem areas before re-tiling to ensure the tiles lay flat ? Sandpaper ?

Also when tiling bathtub, should there be any space between the tub and the tile ?
