Hi - I'm just having some concrete block walls built in the back garden and I intend to tile these with 30 x 60 8mm porcelain tiles.

Couple of bits of advice please.

1. How long do I need to leave the wall after building before I tile?
2. Do I need to prime the blocks before tiling, or can I tile direct?
3. Will 8mm adhesive bed be sufficient?

Many Thanks in advance.

some general information regarding your questions, l would probably want to leave tiling for about two months. Preparation would be to hose down wall Apply priming solution. Would use a 12mm notched trowel on wall and back skim tile. Lots of other things to consider like weathering detail at top of wall. Construction joints (depends on height and length of wall). Tiling to both faces? If not weathering detail to other face.
