We just had this earlier. Where's that thread gone?

Trim if you can't mitre. I'd use a nice chrome trim if it suits the tiles. Easier to do and still looks really posh.

My cheap MK saw's table does angle up to mitre but it doesn't leave a great finish on the one piece I tried. It seems to chip more when the tile is cut finished side down. I can buy bullnose in a different tile that may look ok since they would only be the door jams and extend inside the door about an inch.

Hi Craig, sounds like you may be just cutting too much into the tile and creating a really thin cut at the end into the glaze which is causing the glaze to chip as its being cut from behind. You want to try leave a 1mm or so of the biscuit of the tile edge you are cutting to mitre so you don't actually cut into the glaze or chip it.

Here is a video of a fellow american explaining it which will probably help better. You can skip to 3 minutes in if you don't want to watch it all.

Thank you Tony, I will try again. I also found some bull nosed tiles that will look very close. They all will be on a different plane than the rest, just around the door jamb so only about an inch will be inside the door. I will have to buy one more box of the wall tile to mitre if I go that root and only end up using only two of the tiles.
