I've often thought about these . Obviously takes less floor space which can be at a premium with large tiles in small spaces . Also i wonder if it would reduce the physical stress of putting a large tile in the cutter .

Looks like it might.
If you enlarge the image you'll see two hooks in the middle that the monty sits on. Well the sigma has a cross bar somewhere similar underneath it, so I think adapting it if you had to, would be quite easy.
It'd be a whole lot easier to place large pieces in.
