I've done loads of these. Ucp is the grout for them. 3 or worn 4 mm trowel (I have loads from durabase). You shouldn't need to grout twice, I never have. Use a board to kneel and keep your washboy on when washing off. Don't start washing until it's starting to turn.

I've fitted these about two years ago , 6mm backer boards over chipboard , S2 , 6mm trowel , came back year later to do another room ,no problems at all,floor solid as when I was leaving.

That’s with Hardie and slc as the floor was well out. If level then I wouldn’t have bothered with the slc and definitely don’t use the sticky mesh on the floor. The mosaic backing needs 2 sides trimming to get them to fit as it is so them overhanging sticky sheets would be a mare!
