At armatile.com we are debating at the moment wether we should sell Mapei Keraflex white or Bostik/Evostik OPF. I'd like some feed back from the guys on the front line as they both have similiar specs -any thoughts?

Time's Ran Out

So as to provide you with a totally unbiased opinion (mine that is) I have never used the second mentioned https://www.tilersforums.com/forums/tile-adhesive/.
As Mapei are a sponsor of this forum and having used their https://www.tilersforums.com/forums/tile-adhesive/ on numerous occasions that would be MY choice (as well as being an internationally recognised manufacturer of tile products).
On a business perspective view - it would be the choice of greater financial return - if both products were of equal standing.
In case I missed your introduction thread - Welcome.

the keraflex is a quality product used and rated by many guys on here including myself but my opinion of bostik and evostik is that it's for diy'ers. i've seen some of their stuff, ready mixed tubbed floor https://www.tilersforums.com/forums/tile-adhesive/, i've sent the customer back to b & q with it and used my own proper gear.

Welcome along Armatile, I use you guys well and have used all the above mentioned.
I do not rate Evo or Bostik as DIY.
I love the keraflex and have used loads of it too.
The Bostik and evostik are practically the same to use, I'v fitted stone with both with no problems whatsoever.
The keraflex at bostiks price will do well thanks, lol.

Hello Mike, it's only their bagged https://www.tilersforums.com/forums/tile-adhesive/ I use just like mapei's.
Ready mixed tubbed floor https://www.tilersforums.com/forums/tile-adhesive/ is DIY IMO.
I don't use any tubbed gear now at all and haven't in a while and won't forever if I can, lol. Hate tubbed.

it's the ready mixed tubbed floor addy which is enough to put me off bostik/evostik. so that's enough to put me off them totally

Evo stik OPF is a superb wall and floor https://www.tilersforums.com/forums/tile-adhesive/, I love using it but the Bostik OPF seems to be identical so could be made in same factory and it's a good bit cheaper.
As I said I prefer keraflex but a lot of jobs require cheaper good quality products just to keep the profit in there for us tilers.

I use Evostik/Bostik/Biscem what ever you want to call it for years and its good stuff, some of their products are better than other but on the whole its good stuff.

Started using Keraflex but unless you order online you have no chance of finding a local stockest
