A man has been fined after travelling 50 miles from Sheffield to Stoke-on-Trent - to buy tile https://www.tilersforums.com/forums/tile-adhesive/.

The man, aged 23, was hit with a £200 fine for breaking lockdown rules after he was stopped by police on Old Town Road, in Hanley.

Two other men ran from the scene.

Staffordshire Police reported the incident happened on February 11.

The man, thought to be in his 30's is said to have tiled his bathroom during lockdown and ran out of tile adhesive and his local tile outlet was closed due to a staff member being in contact with somebody who was identified as having COVID-19 meaning staff needed to isolate.

He travelled to Stoke on Trent to buy the same https://www.tilersforums.com/forums/tile-adhesive/ brand he had been using (TilersForums understands that the make isn't known at this time! lol) which was advised he did via a popular online UK Tiling Forum.

I would post a link to the Stoke Sentinel article where I found this story just now, but it is sooooo spammy I fear it will start installing stuff on your devices as it tried to do with mine. It's StokeonTrentLive.co.uk which is part of the Mirror - as you may know they are all just super spammy news sites basically getting traffic from click bait via social media.

Sounds like another story made up by the media.
Here in MK there are thousands of people out and about everyday. No one is getting stopped.
