Good evening
Looking for some advice I have been tile for a few years know but tend to stick to 600x300 size tiles and below when installing. I have a job where I need to install 1000x600 large porcelain tiles 10mm thick.
I intended to use cement based tile board on the walls, can I use a standard mapei flexible tile https://www.tilersforums.com/forums/tile-adhesive/ and if so at what thickness.
Any recommendations hints and tips would be highly appreciated!!

Hi. When using larger tiles you will generally use a thicker bed of https://www.tilersforums.com/forums/tile-adhesive/ to give yourself more tolerance for any surface variation. Everyone has their own preference on https://www.tilersforums.com/forums/tile-adhesive/ brands. Personally I quite like the ultra tile flexible https://www.tilersforums.com/forums/tile-adhesive/. It holds its form, has a nice buttery consistency and can be bedded up to 20mm thick. Using levelling clips should keep everything spot on, just take them out the next day whilst the https://www.tilersforums.com/forums/tile-adhesive/ is green. đź‘Ť

You are fine with the mapei ! But use deep notch 10mm or more and also I do same on back of tile !! ! But try get walls flat before you start tile makes life so much easier !! Seal the boards too
