Change your router administration password to 'Police Surveillance' so when the neighbours see it :yikes:....

A year or so ago my neighbour stopped me and said 'have you got trouble with your wifi'? i said no why have you? He said he hasnt got wifi he had been logging onto mine as i had not put a security code in and it was open!! My brother-in-law had put a code in a week or so ago so my neighbour could not use it. Cheeky bugger, and he also had the front to tell me he had been logging onto it. lol

If you know how to do it, your router picks up information from mobile phones that pass within range of it, and you can access that information.

When you go into the network section on yourPC/Laptop you can see all the open networks that are accessible and it saves you using your data allowance, not that I would do that

If you don't have the manufacturers setup guide to access your router, just type the following ip addresses into your http bar.

Linksys routers, use address 192.168.1.1 for their internal IP address. D-Link and Netgear routers typically use 192.168.0.1. Some US Robotics routers use 192.168.123.254, and some Belkin and SMC routers use 192.168.2.1

Most default username & password for these is admin
