I have just moved into a 1950s build (1930s design) block of flats. All windows have a tile windowsill, original feature as all hundred odd flats have it. With time, they have suffered a bit, and I want to revive them colour wise, and refresh the grouting (even if it is with a grouting pen) I know nothing about tiles, and I cant even discern if there are sealed or not, and how to perhaps renew them a bit, so seeking views from people who know their tiles 😂 (I dont)

I tested using Wilco Step an Tile Red Gloss Paint, but absorption of paint was uneven and it scratched to the touch even after 2 days drying, so i stripped the tiles back.

Any ideas how I may reviutilise a bot the colour or luster of these tiles? I would love any views.

Cheers!!
