Hi All , I am trying to build a shower cubicle using the tray in the picture (super heavy ) at the corner here.
There are a couple of things i wanted to get some advice on before doing something wrong.

There will be a stud wall (orange ) and a glass shower door (blue)
What do I line the shower side of the stud wall up before tile ? I take it normal plaster board will not be sufficient ?

The solid wall behind is missing some plaster/render in places as can be seen . Do i need to patch render the damaged area before tile over this wall or is there an easier way like dot & dab a tile board without even repairing the wall first ?

One last question , the shower tray is made of resin i believe and its around 40-50 kilograms.
Do i need to bed this in tile https://www.tilersforums.com/forums/tile-adhesive/ etc ? If so what do I need to use exactly ?

Many thanks in advance everyone :)

I’d skim that wall with tile https://www.tilersforums.com/forums/tile-adhesive/ where the plaster has come away and then overboard with jackoboard. Make sure everything is completely tanked. You can stick the tray down with single part tile https://www.tilersforums.com/forums/tile-adhesive/ (I normally use Bal or Ardex), just make sure the floor is structurally sound and primed.

I have actually sand and cement rendered the part of the wall where plaster came away to get a more even surface now.
Do i need to use a primer etc on the s/c and plastered surfaces before i apply the tile https://www.tilersforums.com/forums/tile-adhesive/ to them to stick the jackoboard on ?

Would it be advisable to completely level solid wall surfaces (with sand and cement or bonding coat ? ) and use a brush on water proofing system and tile over that at all ?
