Hi UK tilers! I'm an ex-pat Brit builder looking for some advice on the best high gloss coating for a (real) slate floor?
I live in Spain now and the gear I can buy here isn't doing it for me. It's had 2 coats which have been dulled by grout clean up and traffic. It doesn't seem very impermeable either.
I'm reluctant to use up the rest of the can on further coats if there's something magic that you guys can recommend.

You can make slate shiny for a short period by putting something like lithofin multiseal or ltp iron wax on it but it will dull down .
Slate isn't shiny, polished marble/porcelain is without treating it . Its all about sows ears and silk purses
Not sure about a sow's ear. There's nothing better looking or more tactile on your feet than real slate but that's just my opinion.
All I want is recommendations for a product that is hard wearing and fairly glossy. I thought I might find people who have used such a product here rather than relying on advertiser's bs.

The analogy is not about the quality of the product is about changing something to another thing that it is not meant to be . Ie lead to gold although that may cause offence so may be I should say gold to platinum
