Hi

I currently have no experience in tile at the minute but with being made redundant by the end of the year will be looking at doing an intensive course to learn the basics then build up my portfolio/experience working for friends and family. Just wondering if there is much work on around the north east and if its worth the change with me being primarily an office worker?

Thanks
Dave

Hi and welcome :)

As with most trades, tile takes a bit more than a few weeks on a training course to learn.
Doing work for friends and family is definately the right way to learn on the job, this way you can build up your skills, tools and speed.

I can’t speak for the North East, but there seems to be plenty of work around at the moment, but you will need to be good.
Word of mouth is better than any advertising.

Good luck :)
