We have another new feature. (Been here a while actually but I tend not to overwhelm you with instructions else nothing sinks in 
lol)
If you follow somebody on the forum these days, you get some extra options.
You can opt to get an alert when people you follow post to the forum. So if you click on somebody's name, you get the option to follow or ignore them. Following them will pop up an extra box, and you can select to get an alert.
Then if you have setup your alerts on your preferences so that when you get an alert, it is also a push notification (so it pops up on your phone, and pings etc), you can get notified the moment somebody you're interested in posts to the forum.
Handy for if you want to get notified when a particular sponsor or company rep posts to the forum. But also if a top end tiler you know posts to the forum you can join in their discussions etc. And you can set it up so that if a friend posts a JOTM you get notified so you don't upset them by not voting perhaps.
So it can be used a few ways. Seem to find we have some people on sparky forum who are way way above the average sparky, and everybody has followed them over the years, so they're now getting their threads and posts contributed to loads more as a result of this. Which is lovely to see.
So click on a name, and click follow, select the options you want to be notified about, and you're done.
