I know it's a terrible time of the year to attempt this, but ideally I need to tile a 12sq m patio before Christmas. I have already laid Ditra 25 and plan to fix the tiles with Keraflex S1 Maxi. But! When I check the instructions for the https://www.tilersforums.com/forums/tile-adhesive/, they warn against tile during frosty conditions so I am wondering what my options are. If I add a frostproofing agent to the mix, will it reduce the effectiveness of the https://www.tilersforums.com/forums/tile-adhesive/ because in particular I need to retain the deformability and flex that the S1 mix offers. Any other suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Schluter don't recommend ditra externally anymore. I wouldn't be adding anything to any https://www.tilersforums.com/forums/tile-adhesive/ without getting the ok from manufacturers. If you're in the south you may be just about OK fixing with rapid this time of year. Grouting may pose an efflorescence issue with dew in joints though. I wouldn't do it now personally and I'm isle of Wight

Thanks for your help. I take your point about the Ditra but I thought I would try and get away with it anyway - The space is fairly sheltered and I am not expecting the finish to last 25 years or anything. I may just try and find a few days of better weather and use plenty of insulation over the tile to keep the worst of the weather out.
