Not sure if this is the place to put this, but I couldn't find anywhere more suitable.

I'm re-purposing some granite worktops I was given for my utility room. It's white with black flecks. I've cut it down to size - it is a long piece with a cut-out for a large belfast sink.

Using my Flex wet polisher, I've ground it using 50, 100, 200, 400, 800, 1500 and 3000 grit pads. I've put in the 'curve' (am sure there's a proper name for this) along the front and tidied up all the other corners and edges.

So, my question is how to finish it before I install it. I would like, of course, a deep shiny finish. I've got a white buffering pad but haven't used that yet.

Do I simply buff it up and install it, or are there chemicals/sealers/finishing powders/magic that I should use to finish it? I've looked on the net and found conflicting info so thought I would ask the font of knowledge here.

Here's hoping....
