Discuss Electric UFH under laminate in the Floor Advice - Flooring Forum area at TilersForums.com

Is it worth it?

i have read that the laminate will actually insulate against the heat, so it isn't particularly effective, - and that electric UFH is much more effective with tiles or slate.

- i've also heard it's expensive to run. I then read that the expense is largely dependent on how well the place is insulated?

Anyone (unbiased :)) with experience care to comment?

I have no gas in my flat, so thought that UFH would be a nice heating option to take
