Does silicone adhere to silicone - Tile Advice

Just wondering
Does silicone adhere/seal to it self

For instance, is it ok to seal a shower tray to the tiles and then seal the wall corners, down to the tray.

You know, if you've not much practice at applying sealant. Or should it all be done at the same time?

Ok, this is how I do my enclosures- I seal the joint between the tray and the tiles but only where the screen is going.

Fit the enclosure and then seal the whole lot in one hit, going over the sealant that I have already done previously which has cured.

The tray to tile bead that was done previously is really pushed into the joint but not left too proud otherwise the wall profile doesn’t sit flat.
