Damp patches on quarry tiled floor - Tile Advice

I have just lifted up the laminate floor in my kitchen to reveal the quarry tiled floor. But I have noticed that there are damp patches. The plan is to tile on top but I was wondering if you could recomend any sealants to paint onto the existing quarry tiles.

hello,sounds like a bad idea.

1st off all i would find out where the damp patches are from
i would advise removing the quarrys as well
