yes, I'm still alive ....
there is a slight difference between Italy and other countries,
at the first infection, the doctors went to look for all the people who had had contact with him.
and we have already made 25,000 swabs, about 2000 infected.
the infected 2000 are waiting for the second response
for coronavirus confirmation.
It must also be said that the 2 most infected regions are
among the most populated in Italy. We just have to slow down the infection
because about 10% of the infected must pass through
intensive care. and there are only 6000 beds
all over Italy.
this is just my opinion, in other countries I don't know how
the health works, I only know that in america they made 500 tampons.

I just got home from traveling yesterday, but the rental car place said they had a guy confirmed 2 days ago and lots of people in the airports were wearing masks. I think the US only has like 110 cases. A friend works for the CDC and she said they aren't too concerned. She works for the government though, so you never know.

if you need it, keep a distance of at least 1 meter from other people, avoid assembling people such as cinemas, bars, pubs and restaurants. do not go to hospitals or emergency rooms in case of fever or cough. young people can have coronavirus without symptoms, so avoid contact. always wash your hands, the mask is only for those who are already counted. stay indoors as much as possible.
my friends have always called me "unsocial", now it will be my revenge. I think at most 2 days and we won't be able to go to work anymore, all at home in quarantine.

PS, we Italians took very little time to leave Europe. you English have taken years. one virus was enough to be isolated from other countries.:)

That’s America banned all travel from Europe except the from the UK. 😳.
As for the UK and us trades people, we have a storm to ride if it spreads like it has in Italy etc.

if it spreads like in Italy?
if you don't copy what we're doing right away, yes.
you have the opportunity to do immediately what we have done in a month.

from today all the shops closed in Italy, only essential services remain open. artisans, only for urgent calls example if a water pipe breaks.
the productive industries remain open for now, only if they manage to guarantee the safety of the workers.
yesterday where my son works they brought a colleague to the hospital,
is waiting for the result of the buffer ... :(
ps
if you move from home, even on foot
you must fill out a form and motivate the exit.
only necessary exits, go to the pharmacy or buy food,
otherwise a € 200 fine or 3 months in prison,
if the motivation is futile

I think the government is about to start closing down services and utilities. My partners work is about to introduce a working from home exercise. Its going to get a lot worse. On a side issue my son is about to help me for the first time on a large floor in Billingshurst, West Sussex. His name is .....................................David Howe!

Thanks for your news & updates Antonio. Very scary and surreal. I actually did not know about the young having the virus and having no symptoms.........in theory passing it onto their Grandparents etc.

Our Prime Ministers' advise is 'Don't go on a cruise if you are old' Brilliant! I hope your situation improves.

In Genoa too, work is being done on an unusual place: transforming a Gnv ferry into an anticoronavirus hospital. "It is likely that on Monday we will be able to announce the times, which will not go beyond next week. In five days we will be ready to use it", announces the President of the Liguria Region Giovanni Toti. "On the ferry we will start with 25-seater modules to go up to 200, because the ship has 400 cabins but the safety distances must be kept". The hospital ship could be used to hospitalize virus positive people discharged from hospitals but unable to recover at home, non-serious positive cases, or it could be used to free beds in health facilities in case of urgency.

sorry to here whats going on in your beautiful country Antonio, and by all accounts we in the uk are 3/4 weeks behind you.
how many of use will be able to ride this out. as by all accounts it could last most of the year and when its over whats the economy going to be like. most are i believe self employed on this forum so we are going to have to fall back on savings, if you have any.
mortgages to pay rents borrowings etc.
the government is in a corner they are helpless to help, for in my view we are heading into a nightmare , none of us can work from home.
and has any one got any bog roll.

also i think 3/4 weeks late.
but you may have one more chance, you have not left
to check the whole chain of first infections.
here in Italy with the first infected, doctors have quarantined every person who has had contact with the patient.
for this reason we have many sick people, even if they are not serious.
who are in quarantine at home. now we just have to wait at least a week, the country is almost completely stopped.
we will see if the infected will begin to decline or not.
yesterday still 1200 infected, my city (Bergamo) is the most affected,
a friend of mine who works in the cemetery of Bergamo (the only crematorium in the city) says that they are working 24 hours a day non-stop and there are always 30 coffins waiting.
where my son works, they have hospitalized a colleague of his and are waiting for the outcome of the swab,
before starting to work. So my son for now remains at his house, until we know more.
I have many doubts about which areas the virus has affected the most. the most industrialized areas of the country, with the most advanced public health and I think the main reason is, the most populated cities. for example, in southern Italy there are still degraded cities, without sewers and it has not affected them much. but the density of population is very low.

congratulations,
Also I thought so a month ago.

the worst thing about this virus?
when you are infected, from this moment, they take you to the hospital and you no longer see anyone besides the doctors and you could die alone, without close family members. this saddens me a lot, it saddens me more than to die.

omg ....
then, you cannot know who is infected out of respect for privacy.
a friend of mine, a Makita agent, I didn't know had been infected,
I found out when he released an interview to the newspaper after leaving the hospital. he had been hospitalized on February 20.
there is a list of all the infected in my city, country by country.
the cemeteries are all closed, the ceremony takes place only for family members. many are cremated, as I said mine
there are countries nearby that no longer even ring the bells when someone dies.
the country of my son's girlfriend, 40 people have died in the last month. on about 7000 inhabitants.
my country 2000 inhabitants, there are about 3 infected people. the dead do not even know if they are there, having the cemetery closed, I do not know where they take them, or they quickly bring them and go.

friend who works in the crematorium, works 24 hours a day.
there is also the city newspaper,
where obituaries are placed. (for a fee), therefore not everyone can spend the money to be written on obituaries.
a month ago he had 1 page of obituaries, now there are 9 pages.
I can't know how many died from coronavirus or other diseases. on the internet and on TV they continue to give help announcements, addressed to retired doctors or nurses, to come back to help. but you just have to wait a few weeks to believe what I'm telling you. I'm sorry but it will be like this.

Its one of them, i will believe it when I see the dead lining the streets .
I was working at a Italians house last week , he said a load of Italians decided to go to another part of the country so the country decided to stop all movement , said they were stupid and should of stayed where they were , he was fuming as it’s his daughters wedding today and his family can’t come .
Its one of them mate, people seem to put things into a massive massive problem and it ruins it for the rest of them , I know it’s fairly bad , but I think keep calm and don’t **** it up for the rest of the world should be a great motto in italy as well as Britain

true, many of the south work in the north
and last Saturday they learned that northern areas were being closed.
they ran away to home in southern Italy,
bringing coronavirus to less infected areas of the country

let's have a laugh that's better.
where it is underlined, the mayor of this country writes:
it is possible to bring the dog out to fulfill the needs. (rubbish)
the animal must necessarily be alive. ahahaah
we Italians are artists, we take a stuffed animal and
we travel the country.

war bulletin
in my city the dead are placed in churches.
there are no more places before the funeral.
a funeral every half hour.
+552 infections yesterday, for a total of 3416, only in my city
the hardest hit in Italy.
20 military doctors arrived in the hospital yesterday.
ps. yesterday they hospitalized my sister's partner,
but I don't want to dwell on this.
all over Italy we need protective masks, fp2 or fp3
for doctors and other models for the population.
some factories have converted their work and are making masks, but that's not enough. 90000000 pieces are needed per month, among all the purchases made we are at 50000000.
yesterday an elderly gentleman who saw the war said that war was better than this virus. at least you could hide yourself in bomb shelters, or run away in the countryside.
I know that reading this doesn't help,
but I just want you to be precautions and be careful. and not to underestimate
the problem .
good luck to all.
