Need to tile over a concrete garage floor. It's an attached garage being changed to a bathroom and luckily steps down from the kitchen.

What is required for it to comply with building regs in regards with insulation boards and sizes etc can I put a 30mm insulation board down to tile over?

Thanks for any help and if anybody who has done this project and has some tips be appreciated!

Try www.uheat.co.uk for insulation boards that aren't cement-covered. Then self-levelling compound. Then adhesive and tiles. How big is the step down? What's the max thickness you can afford to have there space-wise?

Are you getting it signed off after? Perhaps speak to the council or whatever first and see what the process is and what they recommend? Let us know either way.

Have you picked the tiles yet?

Thanks for posting to the forum. :)
