Hi there,
We are having water underfloor heating installed into our kitchen which is on suspended wooden floors.
The system is going to installed in between the joists and insulated (below) with 100mm rockwool panels.
On top of the joists will be structural chipboard flooring.
As there will be heatloss through this subfloor, what will be the best tile and adhesive combination to use in this area t omaximise the heat from the UFH system?

Many thanks.

firstly don't use chipboard, ply would be better. Ideally two layers, each board staggered with an expansion joint round each board and then Ditra mating before tiling.
the floor needs to be reflection free.
how big an area is it?

hi thanks for the reply - the are (room) is effectively 15sqm (5x3), whereby the pipes will be run in all areas aside from under the kitchen units.
