Best Boarding for Bathroom Floor and Where to Purchase from? - Tile Advice

Hi

I am looking to tile a bathroom floor which is approx. 3m x 3m and is currently just floor boards.

What would be the best option for boarding the floor prior to tiling?

I am in Fife, Scotland and also trying to see if anyone local can supply Hardiebacker etc.

Hardie boards are good.....b&q stock them or ctd or topps .

Thanks so 10mm Hardiebacker screwed into the existing wooden floor boards?

Screwed and adhesive!

Fix all loose boards and make sure no deflection.
Prime with acrilic primer.
Using a notched trowel, spread adhesive ( powder type)
Fit backer boards and screw down.

You don't get 10mm Hardie, either Hardie 250 which is 6mm or Hardie 500 which is 12mm.
I would overboard with the 6mm & as above make sure it's glued & screwed.

Norcross are insulation boards...

Thought they were..

Remove rubbish chipboard floor boards and replace with 18mm wbp ply.
Fix blanke permat and you're good.

Where is the best place to buy HardieBacker online for delivery?

Been looking online and company called Builder Depot look like good price but delivery is over £30.
