Sponge, I find paint brush is messy and slow. I can prime a whole bathroom with a sponge and not spill a drop.

I've had to use a sponge when I didn' have a brush and I find it takes ages to rinse out the primer . But maybe you don't do that ?

A brush is the most effective way to apply primer, to get a good key. Not the quickest way though for sure.

In short, it never satisfies you anything ....
that's fine with me,
you are becoming like my wife, nothing is ever good ...:p
when the nozzle no longer works, I change it ....
I prefer to work standing up. rather than on the ground.
and time is money
