Discuss 4mm porcelain floor mosaic - Trowel size? in the Floor Tiles area at TilersForums.com

Hi all,

I’ve got three bathrooms to tile using 3.8mm Winckelmans porcelain hexagons (25mm). The substrate is fibre cement sheet over floorboards.

What’s the best type and size of trowel to use for a tile this thin? I was thinking a 4mm std. notch trowel. Does anyone have a better suggestion?

Many thanks,
