Hello guys,
Have a large area 110 Sqm to be tiled on new screed on Ditra with an 18mm limestone with small sized opus pattern.
My concern is the joint size, the floor has wet heating, and due to the normal issues of opus pattern the joint size needs to be kept very small to accommodate the 200x200 smallest tile.
2x2, 2x4, 4x4 and 4x6.
It's an L shaped room, around a 13m run on the longest side.
The opus pattern dosent make for a clean uniformed expansion joint, and 1mm joints in my opinion dosent give the stone enough space to let the grout do its job properly.
I think its the wrong choice of tile for the size of the floor.
Be interested to see what you guys think.
