shower

A shower is a place in which a person bathes under a spray of typically warm or hot water. Indoors, there is a drain in the floor. Most showers have temperature, spray pressure and adjustable showerhead nozzle. The simplest showers have a swivelling nozzle aiming down on the user, while more complex showers have a showerhead connected to a hose that has a mounting bracket. This allows the showerer to hold the showerhead by hand to spray the water at different parts of their body. A shower can be installed in a small shower stall or bathtub with a plastic shower curtain or door. Showering is common in Western culture due to the efficiency of using it compared with a bathtub. Its use in hygiene is, therefore, common practice.

Scratched porcelain floor tile in shower

I like DIY projects. Figured I'd try my hand at removing cracked grout in my shower and replace it with caulk. To remove the old grout I used a oscillating tool with diamond edged grout remover. The end result is severely scratched floor tile. Is there any way to remove the scratches short of...

    Repair Travertine Shower Sill

I noticed a chip in the Travertine shower sill. It is about 1.5" long and 1/8" at the highest point. This sill overhangs the shower threshold about 3/4". What can be used to repair this? Would I need to use Travertine filler? If so what kind and how should it be done. Thanks

Hi there I am looking for a tiler to help me regrout a fairly small area (about 2m by 2m) in a shower room. After about 2/3 years the existing grout is now beginning to fail - the tiles were not laid by an experienced tiler and that is now beginning to show!

Bath Shower wall prep after tiles fell off

My bathroom was tiled 5 years ago with 60x30 tiles which became loose and came clean off with a little wiggle. The installation was prior to when I moved in. USA First tiling project - just need to vent

Grouting my shower walls in a few days. I tried to do everything by the book, which I did. Water membrane, proper notching, back-buttering. Then I learned that in the section from when I first started laying tiles, there were voids -- one tile rocking. I had to remove and replace 20 tiles...
