These are kitkats on a mesh backing.
Not entirely sure how the tiler has managed to do this.
Are you meant to put one tile to the wall leaving a gap and then you overlap the next tile on the other wall?
Anything I can do to fix it or at least make it less annoying to look at?
Hi all - I have a question about some cracked grout in my wet area shower, I've attached a photo. I'm getting a handyman to take the old product out and put new grout in.
Do you have a recommendation for a grout product that I can buy in the UK to replace the previous stuff? It's been down for...
Bathroom being refurbished. A load of things have been rushed like some loosely rollered (not primed) tanking on still damp plaster, uneven tiles standing proud of others, bad cuts and now the glue from tile faces sticking in the grout lines.
I'm at my wits end.
I refurb furniture and antiques...
Anyone have a solution to softening/fixing/removing really ugly grout lines from stain resistant grout? Got a little ahead of myself with it and didn’t scrub it in time. There’s a little bit of grout even on the face of the tiles. Ceramic tile. TEC Stain proof power grout (which I will never...
We paid to have a new shower room installed just over 2 years ago. They fitted a false plasterboard wall in order to make a smaller shower base fit more easily and then tiled straight over the plasterboard. Recently some of the tiles have fallen off the wall (600x300). I removed the front of the...
Hello, I was looking for help on getting my floor ready for porcelain tiles and was directed here.
Old tiles were taken out of an old floor leaving dry dirt patches where the concrete was removed with tile, lots of broken concrete bits and, in the kitchen, exposed pipe (which seems to be...
I had some advice here a while back on laying Porcelain Tiles on Outside porch , I followed various bits of advice here.
However, the tiles are hollow and moved , breaking the grout.

The porch has 8 full tiles in the middle and then the surrounding tiles, which are the...
I have a strip of mirrored tiles in my shower and two have hairline cracks which seem to be getting bigger. I have looked at resin however all the ones I have come across advise to leave in sunlight to cure as they are generally for windscreens. Has anybody used a resin on mirrored tiles and...

Paramount wall fix for tiling ideas? the plan is (or was) to tile floor to ceiling with 200mm x 100mm x 7.5mm ceramic tiles. As you can see the wall has seen better days, I appreciate and ideas for making the wall good for tiling. My thoughts for what its worth are....

Hello to the forum :) Already posted my first 'please help' thread. Thank you for not biting me if i stumble along. I do belong to two other non-related forums (paper modeling), so i mostly understand how this site works. Came here out of frustration with my project, so look forward to meeting...
Had my bathroom floor done a year or so ago and noticed for a while now that one of the tiles next to the door was moving when walked on. I've taken it up and wondering how to fix it now - can I just take out the rest of the old adhesive and then re-lay?
The floor is chipboard with jackoboard...
Tile trim...
how are you guys getting it perfect?
Do you prefer to set your trim the standard outwards facing way or face it in?
do you put you trims on before you tile and cut to the trim?
Thanks!
My Omnie TorFloor UFH is now in place and has been filled with water at mains pressure with no leaks, so after the pressure test tomorrow I'm ready to overlay the 22mm chipboard with 9mm ply, which will be glued and screwed.
I know fixing plyboard over UFH isn't a great idea but it is required...

Hello, in my new (old) house, a local handyman (recommended by a neighbour !) made a complete mess of a job laying some very beautiful stoneware tiles from Italy.
Not only do I find the work terrible in an aesthetic viewpoint (not parallel to the wall, tiny pieces along door frames....), but...
HI All, We recently had a contractor replace a tub surround and it appears he used marble threshold material to fill the gap between the new tub and the existing tile. Unfortunately it appears he did not add anything underneath. Part of it has sunken and is now uneven with the existing...
