colour
Color (American English) or colour (Commonwealth English) is the visual perceptual property corresponding in humans to the categories called blue, green, red, etc. Color derives from the spectrum of light (distribution of light power versus wavelength) interacting in the eye with the spectral sensitivities of the light receptors. Color categories and physical specifications of color are also associated with objects or materials based on their physical properties such as light absorption, reflection, or emission spectra. By defining a color space colors can be identified numerically by their coordinates.
Because perception of color stems from the varying spectral sensitivity of different types of cone cells in the retina to different parts of the spectrum, colors may be defined and quantified by the degree to which they stimulate these cells. These physical or physiological quantifications of color, however, do not fully explain the psychophysical perception of color appearance.
The science of color is sometimes called chromatics, colorimetry, or simply color science. It includes the perception of color by the human eye and brain, the origin of color in materials, color theory in art, and the physics of electromagnetic radiation in the visible range (that is, what is commonly referred to simply as light).
Hey guys, spoken to Harry about this and as usual is a great help wondered if anyone has any input on this? Artisans limestone floor , very porous, wanted to go with rapid all in one but they sent hydro seal instead, water based, so went with it, floor was cleaned and left for 24 hours, then...
We moved into our flat a few months ago. The kitchen floor has fairly cheap ceramic tiles which have a printed black finish and rough surface - kind of 'fake slate' thing.
The colour on the tiles seems to be rubbing off on our feet / socks. If you spend some time in there with white socks on...
So after reading up on mitering porcelain and admiring some of the quality mitre jobs on here, Im tempted to have a crack instead of installing trim, as imo it looks far superior.

Hi, I am going to use Tilemaster 3000 grout and silicon but wondering on what colour you would use on the below tiles?
They are split face and know will be a pain but will take my time and do it properly.
I was leaning towards natural grey.
I’m tiling a bathroom with a cement grey tile and mosaic glass border. I’ve tried a couple of different grout colours but the grout I like for the tile (mid grey) seems too dark on the mosaic.
Would it be crazy to use a different (lighter) colour grout for the border. And if it’s not a...
This is what my tiles look like:
These are for the kitchen, hall and bathroom. Reading on here, it seems white is a bad idea. But I'm worried that grey, especially if too dark, will ruin the look. I guess I'm leaning toward light grey or a sand colour. Hoping someone has some good advice on...
what would be the best colour of grout to use on these style of tiles , was originally thinking of an anthracite colour , but some of the white tiles are 1mm smaller than the black !
If using grey adhesive, can that dark colour bleed into grout or stain pale tiles from below?
I have come across mention of it on here, but seemed a nebulous concept. Tried to search about and its not clear. It seems to be the case that adhesive dark colour can come through on pale tiles or...
