    Adhesives for Ditra and Porcelain

Tiles are about 10mm thick. 400 x 600 Mapeker is much cheaper than Keraquick, hence the decision to use Mapeker (if it is suitable)

    Adhesives for Ditra and Porcelain

Hi All. I am about to start tiling my hall. The floor is concrete & screed. The plan is to prime the slab with APD, bond the Ditra matting to the slab with Mapei Keraquick S1 and then use Mapei Mapeker to bond the large format porcelain tiles to the Ditra. I am confused about the...

    Rubi Or Sigma?

No Rubi TX700N on ebay right now. I found the TX700N to be an excellent tile cutter.

Which trowel to use for Schluter Ditra?

I've put down the Ditra using Mapei Kerquick using the 4.5x4.5mm trowel. I mixed twice the amount of addy I needed. I reckon I used about 2.5kg per m2.

I think you mean Dunkley Tiles. Doesn't look like they sell addy. Anyone else? If not, is £17 for 10kg a good deal? I have an account at Jewsons but they don't stock keraquick. Neither do Travis or Elliots.

Mapei Best place to buy Mapei Keraquick (Bournemouth)

Hi guys. I'm looking for a good source for Keraquick in the Bournemouth / Christchurch area. It seems the best I can find is Screwfix but it's damned expensive (£10kg = £17). Any recommendations gratefully received.

Which trowel to use for Schluter Ditra?

Thanks for the advice but I've gone with 4.5x4.5mm notched trowel. Hopefully, this will be OK. Any thoughts on the trowel for the wall tiles guys?

Which trowel to use for Schluter Ditra?

OK Guys. Thanks for the advice. I think I'll go with the 4.5 square notched. I'm also going to be doing some wall tiling. 30 x 10 cm ceramics. The walls have been freshly plaster boarded (dot & dab). I've primed the walls and was planning to use a 10mm square notched trowel. Is that too...

Which trowel to use for Schluter Ditra?

Hi. I'm laying large format porcelain tiles over screen with wet underfloor heating. I'm using Ditra as an uncoupling membrane, with Schulter movement joints at door thresholds. As the title of this thread suggests, I'm not sure which size trowel I should be using under the Ditra. The...
