I know this has come up some time ago, I have given up on BAL grout so am going to give Kerakoll a try, I have some black on order for next weeks job, what do we all think of it? Hopefully I won’t regret my ‘big move’
I know this has come up before, but wondered if anything new is out or if any one has any updates. I have the Dewalt D24000, but am looking at getting a smaller wet saw for small tiles. I have been looking at the Rubi ND 200, what’s everyone’s opinions? This looks like the only real option...

Im putting some marble tiles in a bathroom / shower area for the first time. The customer is very worried about limescale and how to clean it, they have hard water. Anyone got any recommendations of decent sealers for marble and/or cleaners.
Or should I be telling her to avoid marble in the...
appologies for what has come up time and time again. However this one is so close to the guidelines I can’t work out what to do. I have never fitted marble tiles before, and always had plasterboard suit my tile weight limit. (Have been lucky I guess in the last 8 years! )
I have been asked to...
The floor is very sound. Sorry my question being, if i boarded with 12mm could i not bother with the membrane? Or would i be best to go with the 9mm ply and membrane.
I know this kind of thing comes up all the time, but i cant find anywhere for this. In my kitchen i have a 16mm floorboard floor. When i tile bathrooms i remove the floor, board with 18mm ply, board with 9mm and durables the lot. My question is, i cant remove the floor and height is an issue...
good evening all,
I have always used Bal Micromax2 grout. Lately i have been having issues with the coloured grouts drying patchy. No matter what i do i can't stop it. So I'm thinking of changing to Tilemaster 3000 grout. Has anybody changed from bal because of the grout being patchy...
I'm looking for a bit of advise. I have fitted wet rooms before using tray formers and i have laid electric underfloor heating before, but never combining the two. Im looking to see what you guys think of my plans.
The existing floor is a timber floor. I plan on putting kingspan insulation...
Good evening,
I'm about to pull my last few hairs out!!!! I have just grouted a bathroom with BAL micromax 2 gunmetal grout, I have never had a problem with it until now!! The tiles were glazed porcelain. I went in today after grouting yesterday, and the grout is very very patchy! The colour is...
I thought plasterboard would be a popular choice. My concern would be on a half tiled bathroom. Would the dabs cause some sort of thermal bridging and create cold spots where the dabs are, which could in the long run create damp patches on the board.
People have so many different ways of doing things now, it becomes very confusing on what is actually the best way!!. So i thought id see what different ways you would all deal with the following situation.
So . . . . you rip out all the tiles in a customers bathroom, the existing...
A new one for me, and i have been dreading it. Tilling a bathroom worktop, To be precise three bathroom worktops all with mosaics. I have never been asked to do this before, I'm guessing it can't be too difficult (I hope :) ), my plan is to fit 18mm ply and then hardi over the top. Then...
