    Flexing wet room floor

The issue with small mosaics on a foam tray is point loading, the tray is at it thinest towards the drain. So larger mosaics prevent crushing of the tray. But the drain itself should not be moving. The issue could be installation error as the drain needs support underneath to prevent collapsing.

New terracotta tiles - discolouration, sealing

It looks like blooming due to moisture still in the tiles. This occurs when sealed to early and tiles contain moisture. Clean a time with a damp cloth and see if it remains clean or has grout residue but looking at the pics it seems to be rushed sealing

New terracotta tiles - discolouration, sealing

If they were sealed correctly and allowed to dry then you wouldn’t get that if cleaned properly. Has he allowed the tiles to dry before sealing and how many coats of linseed did he use and has he also waxed them ?

Porcelain Tiling To Calcium Sulfate Based Screeds (Revised Dec 2011)

As mentioned the screed does need its first initial expansion if tiled directly too it. Alternatively you could use Bal flexbone uncoupling system, this a none adhered matting. https://www.bal-adhesives.com/products/flexbone-2easy/#even2
