Ironically I've had a couple of issues today. I've had steady work from a company in York for the last 6 years. Solid, decent work. I charged them £30/m and £150/day for prep work etc. They also provide materials. On the cheaper side for York but it was steady work and paid every Monday. Had a...
I can see I've hurt your feelings a wee bit lads. No offence intended.
I've always thought if you lay the tile properly they aren't required. Plus I've never thought they were cost effective and thought there was always the possibility of air gaps. Going to give them a go tomorrow though.
I am starting a large floor tomorrow in 1200 x 1200 tiles and am now thinking to myself should I be using one of these levelling systems kicking about. I have never used them and had no reason or desire to. I've always thought a decent tiler shouldn't need them..... But... A 1200 x 1200 tile...

According to the videos on the website its just a case of pushing the sensors on the back of the meter into the screed and it gives you an automatic reading. Walk about, push it in here and there. Sorted. All for £400.
Was on a job recently and the floor layer (wood) came in and tested the...
Good evening all.
Looking for a bit of advice regarding hygrometers. Got a 150m2 gyvlon floor coming up in a couple of weeks and I am really tight with drying times. The floor is worth a fair bit and have it booked for the run up to Xmas. Santa is relying on it! I've done a few floors on...
