Large format tiles entire Ground floor through doorways.

I’m sure this job is done by now, I like your idea of putting a contrasting tile the width of the door lining. Is this what you did?

Deflection check for an odd scenario. I think I am ok to tile.

Just put in a few noggins here and there, amazing how much it stiffens up a floor.

    Unhappy with bathroom tiling

You guys carry on polishing the turd if you want - it needs doing again if you want a professional finish. Also I’d be worried about prep work… what stages of preparation did they go through?

Split face tile on plaster render behind log burner adhesive

Solid bed 100 %. Any air in adhesive voids will expand and pop off tiles.

    Unhappy with bathroom tiling

That is one of the worst jobs I’ve seen in ages, no pride in their work - why on earth would you fix a tile that clearly has a big chunk out of it? I’m afraid they’ve also used a ready mixed tub adhesive, which is not ok on that sized tile. I’m sorry but you’ve had the work done by someone...

Tiling on to impey shower tray

The membrane is the tanking, you clearly don’t know what you’re talking about.

Tiling on to impey shower tray

You need to read the instructions. The membrane is crucial to the functioning of this tray, when installed correctly it is probably the best wetroom former out there.

Tiling over quarry tile- outside step

If they really are solid then yes you can. Use bagged adhesive and grout, don’t muck about with that other rubbish.

    Incorrect tile adhesive used

We cannot give a sensible reply without more information. What substrate did you tile onto and what preparation method did you use?

    First time using 1000 x 333 , any tips.

Cheers, the walls are perfect though I say so myself!! I built the room out of studwork.

Sealing a newly tiled shower area

Your patched fan hole is now absolutely fine. Yes you can tile over a pipe chase, but I don’t like to see it so close to the edge of the tile - better away from the edges. If it’s a solid wall it could be filled easily and that is what I would do.

These are ceramic and have a little flex. What size trowel for walls , very very flat walls, and is back skimming ok or should it be notched too? Is pink bag ultra god for this? Should it be clipped? If so how many along edge (3?, near corners and 1 in centre enough?)
