Cumulative effects are what will bite you later. Personally, i try to be very careful mixing and cutting. If i don't wear a mask then i hold my breath. I can still do 25m underwater and i reckon it's the practise i get cutting porcelain which keeps my lungs like that!

I've started wearing mask when ever I'm mixing since the last few months, been a bit chesty. I'm well into it now, was just cutting a porcelain tile with the grinder earlier and even tho using a sponge, there is still some dust.

I watched him on the joe Rogan experience the guys mad as a box of frogs but his stuff works I had my Mrs time me holding my breath for 3 mins using his techniques
I've read his stuff and i buy into the whole mind over body thing. Try the cold shower thing, it's the hardest most painful thing I've ever done (ever) but it really makes you feel supercharged.
