i purchased one of these wet cutters 3 weeks ago,low price and i also bought the middle quality blade to deal wth porc and stone

read a few good feedbacks on here about it and i needed a cutter that was good at a budget price fr the time being

highly reccomend these wee fellas.lightweight, easy to install, clean and carry

nice smooth cutting action...blade it comes with is a joy for ceramics havent tried the better blade yet but can assume its the same

no water spray from sides so ideal for indoor use liek flats etc or enclosed bathrooms

well worth the money compared to other budget cutters:thumbsup::thumbsup:

emc sell the blades for the briccolina guys n gals, hope naming emc doesnt break rules?

I think they are the cheapest I've seen for the actual cutters themselves... just over £100 if i remember rightly

think the cutters are 113 pounds,at emc and the blades i cant remember but i onlty use the briccolina for ceramic jobs and small porc ans stone work as its not a heavy duty graft cutter imo but is great at what its designed for so the blade they sell does the job for me.

emc i might add are brilliant to deal with and also hold spares for the briccolina just incase the stroodlepop labourer decides to knock the entire table over and smash the tray and guard!! ;)

Well bit the bullet today and purchased one of these baby's from EMC £113.50 and upgraded blade think about £21 ish, haven't had time to study it yet but have got a couple of splashy's lined up to test it out.

Anyone know, the guide rail is it easily removed as I believe it has to screwthreads holding it in place?

Billy you might be a county fan, but you have definitly bought the best cutter around for that price range.

The Briccolina is only good for small and brittle ceramic tiles. Even with a new and superior blade, this cutter cannot handle anything more than a 200 mm soft ceramic tile due to it's weak motor. Small and compact, it is useful for kitchen wall tiles, but apart from that, don't bother putting it in the van.

Eh??
I take it mines must be a superior version as it's cut almost everything I've flung at it..
Ceramic, porcs, slate, trav etc.
Granted it doesn't get much use now other than doing kitchens & the odd bathroom but it's a great wee cutter.

It does cut everything, eventually, but it's a small and weak machine that has major limits. In other words: it's completely unsuited for heavy work.

It's not stated as being suitable for heavy work..
For heavy work I use my Dewalt & in small bathrooms & kitchens i use my Bricollina..

I keep mine in the van all the time as it's small takes up very little space......

I changed the blade on my briccolna and it's cut every single tile I threw on it. Brilliant little machine
