What made you decide on the setting out from the right side of window and left side of door frame in the black & white kitchen? Just wondered as I cannot see any reason not to centre it all up.
Awesome work, mate. Apart from the high standard you have produced you obciously take pride in your work by the way you have shown some respect towards your workspace. It never hurts to make sure you dont damage or soil the clients property, well done!
I think you had to start where you did to avoid a poxy little cut against the right hand side cabinet?
You know what Phil, i have gone years where nobody wants slate.. used to popular 10 yr back but it is trending again... have yet another slate floor before xmas..
3 in as many weeks... how times change.. and that is a lovely floor mate..
Thanks Dave, it can make a very nice floor, but can be a pain to fix. I just noticed in pic no two, my boots are in the doorway. I was wearing overshoes.:yikes::lol:

We used to lay hundreds of metres of slate about 20-25 years ago too. Most popular for commercial work was a hard black slate called silver blue. Your right though Phil, just the nature of the stuff makes it a little more effort to lay, especially if you get a few crates that range from 5mm to 25mm.:yikes: I've actually been able to split the really thick ones on the odd occasion.
